Hello my pretties. I hope you have all been well. April has proven to be a bit challenging at times, but I refuse to remain anything but positive. Despite all of the rough times, there have been great moments. I turned thirty on the 18th and was so spoiled for my birthday. For example, I have this lovely just waiting to be hung in my dining room. A beautiful gift from my husband.
My husband also thew me an amazing surprise party at one of our old favorite bars. There was live music and the best friends and family a girl could ask for. I was thoroughly surprised, spoiled and recognized just how blessed I truly am.
On the morning of my birthday, my lovely in laws got up early to place signs all across my front lawn to let the neighborhood know I am now thirty. It was a great surprise to wake up to, as it had me in fits of giggles. They also got me something I have been lusting after. Yes, Big Joe (doesn’t everyone name their camera) will now live in this beauty and I shall look like a tourist no more!
My parents gave me just what I asked for, but you will have to wait some time to see the results of their perfect gift. Just know that it is perfect.
My friends know me so well and were incredibly generous. Not only did I get a pickle card filled with lottery tickets, and an amazing owl statue, fleur des lis cookie cutters (how did you know I have always wanted some?) but I also got something dear to my heart…..the gift of shoe shopping. That’s right, a DSW gift card. I headed there this weekend and came home with these puppies.
Am I a lucky girl or what? Thanks so much ladies!! The best part is that I even have enough left to get a strapy pair of heels. Now, as you will learn soon, this is totally counterintuitive to my upcoming shoe challenge, but there is a method to my madness.
As you can tell my April was much crazier than I thought it would be. I wasn’t around as much as I had hoped but here is to May! Stay tuned, details on the shoe challenge are coming soon!
