I have heard so many great things about Pinterest that I knew I had to check it out.  I ended up thinking it is a great idea and just had to sign up.  It is as great as they say it is.  It is a way to mark all of those ideas that you see online and to store them using an image essentially as the link so you can have it handy for future reference.

Here are some of the great things I have found on Pinterest.

By the way, if we don’t make a photo similar to the photo immediately above, I will most definitely cry!

Random, yet awesome.  Right?

Click her to see my Pinterest.  After signing up it took about a week for me to get my signup details and now I am in LOVE!

Do you ever find something that makes you think, “How did I not know this existed?”  Maybe a website that is just so spectacular that you spend and afternoon looking at every single thing on the page?  Maybe a site for a store where you browse every sing item offered?

I had one of those moments today when I discovered Ruche.  Do you know Ruche?  If not, please allow me to introduce you.

Ruche is “a modern boutique with a vintage touch.”  You can find awesome clothes (they even have non frumpy plus sizes), shoes, jewelry, purses and home and office accessories.  Let me share with you some of my favorites.

Hello lovelies.  I interrupt this shoe challenge to bring you some exciting news!

We finally got around to installing my birthday present from my husband.  Thanks to my wonderful father in law for his help!  I love it more than I imagined I could.

I mean, just look at her.

Isn’t she lovely?

Look at her details

And how she shimmers at night

We are very happy together.  Very happy indeed.  I love her.

I wanted to share something that I thought was super fun.  Liu Bolin from Shandong, China is a real life invisible man.  He paints himself, sometimes spending up to 1o hours preparing.  In his “Hiding In The City” series, Liu,does an amazing job matching his background and blending  into his surroundings.  Below are just a few of my favorite pieces.  I think you will agree that it is amazing.

Hello My Pretties!  I hope you are all doing well.  I recently discovered Jamie’s (From Me To You) fabulous pictures from New York Fashion Week.  I am particularly in love with the animated photography.  Check out some of my favorites and view the rest of the amazing pictures here.

Hello My Pretties.  I know it has been far too long.  A lot has happened since we last met up.  My baby girl is a big one year old, and my Grandma is recovering from surgery to fix three fractures in her back.  I had to go on a hiatius to take care of my family.  I hope you have all been well.

And now I would like to file something under “Why Didn’t I Think of That?”  When I was pregnant I used the What to Expect When You Are Expecting App on my phone.  It always told me how big my baby was that week based on a fruit or vegetable.  I remember fondly referring to Lily as my little sweet potato.

Carolee Beckham is currently expecting a baby and is doing a photo shoot that captures that idea perfectly.  She takes a photo of herself holding a piece of fruit that represents the size of her baby that week.  I wish I had thought of that!  She couldn’t be any cuter!

You can follow her pregnancy blog here.

Tomorrow is the big day.  My little sweet pea turns one.  Holy cow.  What an amazing year it has been.  We are in the full swing of party prep and although I am not as prepared as I would like to be, I am incredibly excited.  Celebrating her big day with family and friends will be so much fun.  I have an adorable cake on order complete with pink lady bugs (we call her Lily Bug).  The only hitch has been that during the tornado phase of cleaning (you know, when you pull everything out and your house looks trashed before you put it all back together), my husband and I both got a pretty bad cold that had us out of commission for a while.  He has recovered just in time to throw out his back, so we are slowly trying to put things back together.

Until then, I wanted to share this gem with you.  Have you heard of Lisa Eldridge?  If you haven’t, I am sure you have probably seen some of the amazing make up she has done on magazine covers or on celebrities.  She has done makeup for one of my favorites, Lily Allen as well as celebs like Nicole Richie and Katy Perry.  Her webpage is full of amazing makeup tutorial videos.  Click here but don’t blame me for all the makeup you will want to buy.

Check out the amazing photos.  These are just some of my favorites from her gallery.
