Hello My Pretties. I know it has been far too long. A lot has happened since we last met up. My baby girl is a big one year old, and my Grandma is recovering from surgery to fix three fractures in her back. I had to go on a hiatius to take care of my family. I hope you have all been well.
And now I would like to file something under “Why Didn’t I Think of That?” When I was pregnant I used the What to Expect When You Are Expecting App on my phone. It always told me how big my baby was that week based on a fruit or vegetable. I remember fondly referring to Lily as my little sweet potato.
Carolee Beckham is currently expecting a baby and is doing a photo shoot that captures that idea perfectly. She takes a photo of herself holding a piece of fruit that represents the size of her baby that week. I wish I had thought of that! She couldn’t be any cuter!

Hello my pretties. Just wanted to drop in and say sorry for the light posts. We went straight from the birthday party to helping out a family member who is in the hospital. Send healing thoughts and I will be back soon when things calm down a bit.

With a one year old, how is it that I am just discovering Janie and Jack? Thanks to a lovely gift in adorable packaging from my Aunt Jojo, I saw what I have been missing.

Where have I been?
Celebrating a certain special girl’s first birthday (and preparing for said girl’s birthday party). It was a blast, aside from a snow storm that came out of the blue and left almost half of our guests home bound. Didn’t her ladybug cake turn out amazing? I couldn’t have been happier. Her matching cupcake was adorable and apparently delicious too.
I have been a little behind, so I am just getting a chance to start working on this. Wish me luck.

Tomorrow is the big day. My little sweet pea turns one. Holy cow. What an amazing year it has been. We are in the full swing of party prep and although I am not as prepared as I would like to be, I am incredibly excited. Celebrating her big day with family and friends will be so much fun. I have an adorable cake on order complete with pink lady bugs (we call her Lily Bug). The only hitch has been that during the tornado phase of cleaning (you know, when you pull everything out and your house looks trashed before you put it all back together), my husband and I both got a pretty bad cold that had us out of commission for a while. He has recovered just in time to throw out his back, so we are slowly trying to put things back together.
Until then, I wanted to share this gem with you. Have you heard of Lisa Eldridge? If you haven’t, I am sure you have probably seen some of the amazing make up she has done on magazine covers or on celebrities. She has done makeup for one of my favorites, Lily Allen as well as celebs like Nicole Richie and Katy Perry. Her webpage is full of amazing makeup tutorial videos. Hiya Pretties. Thanks so much for bearing with my absence well we get ready for my daughters first birthday and big birthday party. Things have been crazy to say the least. Especially since all three of us got hit with a really bad cold that stalled progress.
